  What? Corpus Christi celebrations in Valencia blend religious and folkloric festivities. Two processions wind through the streets of the city center, one that is festive with costumes and folk music and the other which is of a more somber and religious nature

• Noche de San Juan Night of Saint John

  Where? Malvarrosa & Arenal beaches
  What? Celebrating both the feast day of San Juan and the onset of summer, bonfires line the beaches throughout the night while music, dancing, open-air fairs and fireworks displays set a great atmosphere.

• Goya. Grabados: caprichos y desastres Goya. Sketches: whims and disasters

  What? An exhibition of photographs taken of Valencia between 1900 and 1936 from the archives of the ABC daily newspaper

• Cien años de diálogo de pintura y escultura 100 Years of Painting & Sculpting Dialogue
  When? May 21 - August 30
  Where? Museo de la Ciudad (Plaza de Arzobispi, 3)
  What? A large exhibition of works by the most renowned Valencian artists of the last 100 years: Sorolla, Benlliure, Ribera Berenguer, Francisco Badía, Antonia Mir, Rafa Solbes, Pinazo, Renau, Teixidor and many more.

  What? An exhibition of the life, theories and impacts of naturalist Charles Darwin. The exhibition marks the 200th anniversary of Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of On the Origins of Species .

  What? An exhibition of 154 paintings, drawings, sculptures, etc. that explore Joan Miró's view of women, a constant theme in his works.

  What? An exhibition looking at the diverse objects used in exchanges and in amassing wealth over the course of history. Features relics from five continents.

• El narciso en su opinión

  Where? Teatre Rialto (Plaça de l'Ajuntament, 17)
  What? Production of Guillem de Castro's comedy, written between 1612 and 1615 and considered one of the representative pieces of the "comedia de figurón", a Spanish genre that has an eccentric character as the chief figure.
